Mauruf from Maldives shares his own experience of building a good team of people, working in island hotel & restaurant.
Ibrahim Mauruf was born in the Maldives, at the southernmost Atoll Addu, at Hulhudhoo island. Seven sons and two daughters were brought up by mother Kadda and father Tuttubek.
At the age of 18 Mauruf left for work at the Hotel Kurumba as delivery man at the hotel’s reception. Having worked there for two years he passed on to the restaurant business. Responsibility, honesty and professional qualities made it possible for him to make a career: he conducted the opening of two hotels (the most complicated and responsible stage of work, the aerobatics in the hotel business)
At Shangri-La Resort & SPA Hotel he mastered many programs on special training of the personnel by Shangri-La system.
At the moment he is in charge of F&B department at two island resorts: Drift Thelu Veliga and Rihiveli Maldives.
