On September 19, the Cumbre Vieja volcano started to erupt on the island. At least 6 thousand people were evacuated. Many of them have lost all their property. The disaster destroyed about 1,000 buildings and tens of kilometers of roads. The fiery lava has already covered over 250 hectares of land and reached the ocean.

On September 27, Tropical Storm Dianmu hit Thailand. Heavy downpours caused severe floods that affected almost half of the country's area. Unfortunately, casualties and missing people have been reported. The flood affected over 58,000 families in 27 provinces. About 70,000 houses were flooded. Many provinces have been declared disaster zones.
China also suffered from heavy rains, which led to landslides and mudslides.
On September 29, a new eruption of the Kilauea volcano began in Hawaii.
The US Geological Survey has raised the danger level to the highest. Residents of nearby settlements left the areas of the risk zone by themselves.
Natural disasters also affected Spain, Italy and Greece this week.
Spain was hit by torrential rains and hail, causing widespread flooding. The hailstorm has caused serious damage to crops, with damage estimated at €8 million.
In Crete, Greece, a strong earthquake struck, with a magnitude of 6.5, but it was later downgraded to 6.0.
Severe thunderstorms in Tuscany, Italy, were accompanied by strong wind gusts and large hail. Operational civil protection centres were set up to help people whose homes had become uninhabitable.
According to the USGS, a total of 11,606 earthquakes occurred worldwide in September 2021, 146 of them were above magnitude 5.
September this year was marked by atypical weather events in different parts of the world. Thus winter came earlier than usual to the north and west of Iceland. Severe snowstorms caused numerous traffic accidents.

On September 26, Tropical Cyclone Gulab hit several states in India. The entire central region of the country was affected by torrential rains and floods. Unfortunately, dozens of people were killed by the cyclone. Missing people were also reported. The disaster caused enormous damage to farmland and crops.
We all need to take a sensible view of the current situation. To take into account cause-and-effect relations of various crises and the impending global catastrophe in order to remove the root of their origin and ensure a safe environment for all people on the planet.
It is possible to stop it, but only all of us together, uniting all human potential.
