In Indonesia, scorching ash reached the stratosphere. And in the Thai city of Hat Yai, people spent several days on rooftops, watching the water rise higher and higher.

Thirty-three people died in Thailand. Floods in Vietnam claimed another 98 lives. Six people could not escape the rubble after a landslide in Sri Lanka.
In Indonesian villages, people breathed in sulfur and coughed from the ash. “The scorching ash destroyed our homes, school, and hospital,” residents of the Supit Urang community report. In the Thai city of Hat Yai, a hospital housing 600 patients, including newborns, was flooded on two floors. Rescuers delivered food and generators by helicopter.
In Australia, hail the size of oranges fell. In Russia, November saw record lightning activity. In Chelyabinsk, freezing rain turned roads into ice rinks, injuring hundreds of people.
In Ethiopia, the Hayli Gubbi volcano ejected ash up to 15 kilometers high. Before this, it had been dormant for almost 12,000 years. These are not just numbers — they are signals from the planet that we cannot ignore.
Every disaster represents someone’s broken life. Someone’s family that may never be whole again. Nature does not choose countries, religions, or political beliefs. It strikes everyone equally.
